French fries, salads and other – the obvious vegan stuff on the menu

The 3 best falafel joints in Malmö 2021

Värnhems falafel

Freshly baked bread and falafel to die for. They also got the amazing Iraqi mango sauced called Amba, which is the only sauce you need. The place only got a few simple seats so takeaway is recommended. Often queue outside but it’s certainly worth it. Payment with swish when waiting is the fastest option.

Köpenhamns falafel

Their falafel is awesome and they actually got a few seatings in their small place, which is nice. They only got one vegan sauce, the strong one, but the falafel is so flavourful that the lack of sauces doesn’t bother. Their trick for the amazing falafel is that the owner himself brings original spices from Jordania. Freshly baked bread here also. Perfect.

Mr.Falafel

Freshly baked bread and crispy falafel. Nothing goes wrong here either. They also got a lot of seatings that is pretty nice.

The 3 best pizza places in Malmö for a vegan 2021

The Raw kitchen Malmö

If you decide to go here you should be prepared that it is – what their name also clearly shows – a raw place. Their pizza is in other words something different, but nevertheless really good and flavorful; even for someone like me that only eats raw occasionly. It’s fresh stuff and their cashew cheese, which they does not skimp on, is really awesome. Nice vibe and nice interior. I really recommend a visit.

Opopoppa

They serve their pizza in slices NY-style which is really uncommon in Sweden. They also only have one vegan pizza at a time which changes every now and then, but never dissappointed me. Rather the opposite. Always really good stuff with interesting flavours. Two slices is probably enough to make most peoples stomachs satisfied but personally I like to spoil myself with three for maximal enjoyment. Nice vibe and nice interior à la 1920’s.

Far i Hatten

Like the other two places on the list Far i Hatten is also a really special place. Fresh ingredients, good quality cashew cheese and baked in a stone oven. They really do it right, and their app makes it convenient to order. The restaurant is a house located in Folkets park (Peoples park) which makes a visit feeling a little bit countrysideish, which together with the cosy interior and flavours create a wonderful experience.

The 4 best pizza places in Stockholm for a vegan 2021

La Piccola Nonna Pizza

Fully vegetarian place that also serve every pizza in a vegan version. The pizzas is Napoli-inspired style and the girls that makes them is real pizza nerds; which the taste clearly shows. Small but cosy place only opens weekends so far but will be open longer ahead. For a vegan foodie visiting Stockholm I sincerely recommend this place – you will not be disappointed.

Pazzi

Nice interior and some really good quality Napoli-inspired vegan pizzas in a separate section on the menu.

Omnipollos hatt

Maybe not the nicest place for someone who doesn’t drink beer, but their only vegan pizza on the menu with mumhammara and sun dried dates is truly amazing and make it worth at least one visit. They also got two vegetarian pizzas on the menu which they can make vegan.

Bistro Bananas

My old go to place in Stockholm before La Piccola Nonna Pizza and Pazzi existed and I wanted to sit in a place with nice interior close to home. Only open during the evenings on weekdays but opens 12PM on the weekends. Their Marinara is pretty nice, especially since I always add mushrooms to it. Since a few years they also serve cashew cheese.
